Do you need some inspiration to get your creative juices flowing again?  Do you feel like you are stuck in a groove with your layouts and need some help?  Are you up for a layout challenge?  Then we have the answer!

Mix and Match Scrapbook Maps

Our sketches have some unique features to help you with your layouts.  First, we call our sketches Maps because we hope that they lead you to creating dynamic scrapbook layouts.  Our maps are meant to be Mixed and Matched.  Using the features in our Art Gallery, you can rotate and flip any map until you have it just the way you want it and then you can print it out.  That means with the a single map, there are eight different ways to use it.

Map Measurements Easily Convert To Page Measurements

Our maps are not only a visual picture of a layout- you can actually use the measurements of the map to easily create 6x6 and 12x12 pages.  Each map is a perfect 3” scale to the larger pages so simply measure an element on the map and multiply it by 2 for a 6x6 page or 4 for a 12x12 page.

Learn Design Theory

We go beyond the sketch and teach you why the layout works!  The features of each Map are explained so that you not only create a visually stunning page, you learn why it is so.  Then you can take what you learn with each map and begin to apply it to other pages.

Our Maps Are Versatile

Use as little or as much information on the Map as you want.  Some people just need the basic ideas of where to place various elements on a page.  Others like to have a more detailed map showing how to incorporate patterned paper, embellishments and journaling .  Our maps take both extremes into account.  Simply look at the overall layout or use the legend to learn how to use specific elements on a page.

Many of our maps can be used with different numbers of pictures.  Special symbols are used on the map to show the variety of ways you can use each component making each map more versatile.

Where To Find Our Maps

We post many of the maps in our Art Gallery under the Sketches Category.  You can also find some maps in our Library’s Resource Center under Techniques.  Please visit our website at www.scrapuniversity.com and go to the pages mentioned above.
